Test your BANDWIDTH connection speed on Skype:
The connection speed can be tested on skype by following methods.Step1: “Choose a contact” in your list of contacts on skype, you wish to call.
Step2: In the conversation header choose for an “check settings button”.
Step3: Go for an “connection” tab at the last. And choose “Test me” to check your bandwidth speed.
Step4: The Skype will test for an Internet connection between you two. (I recommend this to be done before every skype call)
Step5: The result displayed with ok or not ok to make a call between you two.
When compared to video call, audio call consumes lesser bandwidth so better prefer for it. Normally Skype consumes 0-4kbps and when it is in call it consumes 24-128kbps. If the video call is poor while speaking better convert to only Audio mode to maintain your conversation or else try this method. Close all the application on internet except your call. Close all your videos and songs playing via internet and cancel all file transfer. So, the connection will be fully utilized by Skype to make your call better.
