Nokia expects 75% of Android apps to be compatible with the Nokia X, the rest to take 8 hours to port The biggest weakness of Nokia X software platform is expected to be poor compatibility with the bulk of Google Play apps. Now on Nokia’s Developer portal the company is claiming 75% of Android apps will run on the handset unmodified, and than the rest can often be ported in less than 8 hours, even if they use Google’s services. Windows Phone 8 license fee could drop to $6/handset PCMag reports that Microsoft may be preparing to drop the price of a Windows Phone license as much as 70%. Interesting: Microsoft may show Start screen background in place of Accent colour in Windows Phone 8.1 According to Tom Warren , from his sources, instead of implementing a background image that can only be glimpsed fleetingly in the cracks and spaces between live tiles, Microsoft may instead overlay the image across the top of the live tiles in place of the accent colour, with the result looking much like the image above, which is of Skinnery Tiles. The result will be a lot more intrusive, but possibly a lot more inviting to novice users. Hopefully Microsoft will be able to automatically mute the more garish colours.
