The new app search results layout shows apps in colorful grids with app ratings, directly accessible from Google Now and Chrome, only on Android as yet Google has rolled out a new layout for showing app results on Android devices. If the entire Wikipedia Encyclopedia were available as a physical printed book, it would span 7500 volumes. And someone is just trying to make that happen. The English edition of Wikipedia Encyclopedia contains around 5 million articles and if someone were to print the entire Wikipedia encyclopedia into a book, the size of the printed book would roughly be equivalent to 2000+ volumes of the Encyclopedia Britannica ( source ). Rob Matthews, a graphics design student from UK, converted 5000 pages of Wikipedia into a printed book in 2012. He downloaded few hundred featured articles from Wikipedia and bound them together in a physical book that was almost 1’7″ thick. Rob’s website (rob-matthews.com) has been taken over by domain squatters but the pictures of the printed Wikipedia book have survived. While Rob limited his printed book to the featured articles, Michael Mandiberg’s team has a more ambitious plan. They’re working on making the entire English-language

Google Chrome supports a number of internal URLs to help you quickly access the various menu options and hidden settings of the browser. For instance, typing about:dns in the Chrome address bar would display a complete list of DNS related information while about:cache will show all the items that are in your browser’s cache. If you are using the developer version of Chrome, about:flags will help you enable or disable experimental features. Similarly, chrome://bookmarks will open the bookmarks folder while chrome://history will open the browser’s history. The list of internal Chrome URLs is long and difficult to remember. The Chrome Access add-on will provide quick access to all the available ‘about:’ and ‘chrome://’ pages in a dropdown menu accessible from the Chrome’s toolbar so you don’t have remember them.

OPEN(APP) When you install an extension or a web app inside Google Chrome, the .crx file is unpacked and stored inside the user’s profile folder. Anyone can view the content of this folder to understand how the corresponding extension works. The Extension Source locator add-on helps you quickly determine the folder where the files of any particular add-on is stored on your local disk. The add-on replaces the “New tab” screen of your Chrome with a list of all extension that are currently installed inside your copy of Chrome. Click the “Copy to Clipboard” button to copy the full path of the folder to the clipboard. It even lists the path details for extensions that are deactivated inside your copy of Chrome.
